Fidalgo Coffee Roasters will be closed for business on Monday, January 17th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King made a difference by leading the civil rights movement of the 1960s, and his work has had a lasting impact not only on African-Americans but on women and other marginalized groups as well. One of the greatest orators in history, he exposed truths that many would rather not face. And he did it in a way that made people take notice. Dr. King fought racism in recognition of our mutual need for love, respect, and the hope of achieving the American Dream. His legacy has been recognized as part of our national heritage, reflecting America’s best ideals in justice, equality, democracy, and human rights. On August 28th, 1963, Dr. King gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
